Undisputed Champion Ellie Scotney Vacates WBC Title to move to Featherweight Division

LONDON, UK — May 14, 2026 — Undisputed super bantamweight champion Ellie Scotney has officially vacated her WBC world title after deciding to move up in weight to pursue new achievements in the 126-pound featherweight division.

Scotney has established herself as one of the finest pound-for-pound female fighters in the world by unifying all major titles at 122 pounds.

Her reign as WBC champion was a fundamental piece of the historic journey that led her to become the undisputed queen of the division. Historic Conquest at 122 Pounds.

The WBC reported the following:  "Undisputed super bantamweight champion Ellie Scotney has vacated her WBC world title after deciding to move up in weight and pursue new challenges in her professional career." 

"The WBC recognizes, appreciates and admires the professionalism, dedication, and competitive spirit Ellie displayed throughout her reign, wishing her the greatest success in this new chapter of her career in a higher weight division.  The organization, led by Mauricio Sulaimán, reiterated that the doors of the WBC will always remain open for Ellie. In the coming days, details regarding the process to crown the new champion at 122 pounds will be announced, as well as the specifics of Scotney’s debut in her new division, where she will look to continue writing her name into the history books of women’s boxing," added the WBC.

Most Valuable Promotions (MVP), co-founded by Jake Paul and Nakisa Bidarian, released an official statement celebrating her historic achievement and endorsing her transition to the 126-pound class: "Ellie has accomplished something truly special at 122lbs...
